I made them as written and would definitely recommend adding the garlic powder to the dough. I did have to let the shaped dough rise for about 50 minutes before I baked them. The first time I made them I baked after 20 minutes and they were too dense. This time they were perfect!

Probably the cleanest/easiest dough I have made. My mixer pulled it right off the sides and kneaded well, no stickiness to the bowl and no extra flour needed. They were delicious! My family devoured them. My only thing is I pulled them out of the the oven with like 7/8 minutes left. Not because the tops were getting too brown, but I was worried about the bottoms overcooking.
